Branches will be aware that the Union has called on its members to take industrial action for the whole of their shifts which start after 3 a.m. on Friday 29th June and up to 3 a.m. on Saturday 30th June.
CWU members who commence their shift before 3 a.m. on Friday 29th June should be permitted to complete their shift/duties. Branches will also be aware that members who fall into this category will themselves be taking industrial action. This action will take place during the course of the next 24 hours in line with the industrial action notice issued to Royal Mail and the Union's instructions as contained in LTB 600/07.
It is of the utmost importance that Branches remain organised and disciplined throughout the period of the industrial action. Any difficulties should be reported to CWU Headquarters on the following numbers:

This notice has been sent to Royal Mail in response to a letter received from them earlier today.
